Job Description

Worknet is seeking workers for the 2026 Mardi Gras season to assist with removal of barricades, as well as parade route cleanup in Lafayette. Hours include day and night shifts. $14/hr. Workers need to have steel toes and work clothes. Workers will meet in a central location and ride with the crews to the work site for each shift. See the schedule below.

 

Available Shifts for Mardi Gras 2026 

 

SAT, FEB 7th – 7PM – until done, up to 12AM/2AM) / POST-PARADE CLEANUP

SAT, FEB 14th  - (7PM - until done, up to 12AM/2AM / POST-PARADE CLEANUP

TUES, FEB 17th -  8PM - until done /  POST-PARADE CLEANUP

THURS, FEB 19th – 7AM - 3:30PM / BARRICADE LOADING/UNLOADING

FRI, FEB 20th – 7PM –  until done, up to 1PM/3:30PM /  BARRICADE LOADING/UNLOADING

 

 

Other requirements: 

  • Pre-employment screening
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. 
  • Must possess Steel toes
  • Availability for the hours listed, with flexibility in the shifts that may run longer.
