Company in north Lafayette has immediate opening for someone proficient in AutoCad with a base knowledge of nesting. This is a 7am-5pm M-F full time position. It is a plus to have a working knowledge of OmniWin or Sigma nest.
Duties include:
- Nesting parts: Using computer aided nesting software.
- Material optimization: Selecting the most appropriate material size and type for each order to minimize waste and costs
- Order processing: Reviewing production orders to ensure all necessary information is available for nesting.
- Software Proficiency: Maintaining update knowledge of CAD/CAM nesting software
- Quality control: Ensure nesting files are accurate and free of errors
- Communication: Communicating effectively and promptly with various dept. concerning nesting issues and/or other concerns.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
