Job Description

Brewing company is looking for package technician to join their team. Individual must be hard-working and knowledgeable about packaging and brewing, while also representing the company's mission and values. This role will be responsible for every interaction with our packaging beer-from beer tanks to pallets of packaged beer.

Responsibilities:

Packaging:

  • Clean and fill kegs according to company’s standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work on and cross train on the various roles the bottle, can and keg line have to offer.
  • Perform quality tests and record.
  • Advise supervisor of any quality, efficiency, or safety issues.
  • Works to improve efficiency by reducing waste and streamlining process
  • Ability to work in alone or in a group
  • Self-motivated and ability to take ownership of their working area
  • Perform machine and line change over’s in a safe and timely manner
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by putting items back where they belong, throwing away trash and cleaning up spills or break both inside and around the machine

Warehousing:

  • Assist in pulling orders and other warehouse duties as needed
  • Ability to plan for tomorrow in the staging of shipments and packaging products

Facilities Maintenance:

  • Diagnose equipment failures or malfunctions
  • Assist with maintenance and repair
  • Keep the overall facilities clean and clutter-free
  • Complete other duties as needed

 

Job Requirements

Experience and Requirements:

  • Brewing beer requires schedule flexibility. Staff must be able to react to brewing process requirements at the facility during regular work hours plus nights and weekends
  • Industry events typically occur during evenings and weekends. Staff is required to be at these events at times
  • Must be able to stand for long period of times 8+ hours
  • Must be able to tolerate working in heat and cold
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs
  • Adhere to all required OSHA regulations and company’s safety regulations that go above and beyond OSHA
  • Work other shifts as needed, forklift/safety certifications will be provided onsite
