The Project Engineer is an integral member of the Engineering team. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to a schedule. Their duties include upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans, and adjusting specifications for elements of project. The project Engineer provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the project manager or engineering manager. The role works collaboratively with project management, engineering, workshop team as well as supporting services including, Supply Chain, HSE & Quality, suppliers, and contractors.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner.
- Delegate tasks to team members according to their individual skill sets, experience and abilities to ensure efficient completion of project.
- Maintain budgets and make adjustments according to needs as they arise.
- Track performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
- Document and report project progress to stakeholders and clients.
- Ad Hoc responsibilities including but not limited to developing and maintaining project documents and schedules, preparing project related reports, coordinating project meetings and workshop requirements, and implementing and monitoring project plans.
- Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
- Coordinating with 3rd party vendors, subcontractors, and supply chain management to ensure successful management to ensure successful management of vendors and orders, ensuring sharing of information for relayed for project execution.
- Project Management of Inventory Builds and Manufactured/Sales Reports
- Ensuring close-out of projects, participation in AAR and lessons learned.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of all OPG forms, work instructions and processes.
- This role consists of both on site (out of office/offshore) and office-based duties, generally speaking the applicant interested in this role should assume 50% offshore time for this position.
